Innovation in aged care: event
The Innovation & Technology Across Care (ITAC) 2024 Conference will be held on the Gold Coast from 26–27 March.
The Aged and Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA) has partnered with the Aged Care Industry Information Technology Council to bring the event to life.
This two-day event will be attended by aged and community care sector leaders, government representatives, IT specialists, CEOs and board members. It will include a diverse range of workshops, presentations, vendor exhibitions and networking opportunities, providing attendees with actionable insights and strategies to implement in their organisation.
Speakers will discuss practical, evidence-based innovative solutions, digital transformation, enhanced quality care and data collection to impact long-term business sustainability.
Other major topics to be explored include the case for a national data and digital strategy, global perspectives and international technological advancements, cybersecurity, ethics and law.
“Aged care in Australia is entering an age of change and it’s vital we embrace innovation,” said Tom Symondson, CEO at ACCPA.
“The use of cutting-edge technology for data collection and analysis, or even robotics, can help aged care providers drive continuous improvement by working smarter.
“This conference will bring together industry leaders and experts in their field. It’ll provide an opportunity for stakeholders to share ideas and learn about new innovations, helping them to plan for the changes that are taking place now and in the future.”
The aged and community care sector has been through immense technological change since the last conference — ITAC 2022.
“ITAC 2024 is a chance for providers to come together to discuss opportunities, exchange ideas and learn about innovation and technology to help them enhance their services to better the lives of older Australians,” Symondson said.
