Free aged care workforce planning tool
The Aged Care Workforce Industry Council (ACWIC) has developed a Workforce Planning Tool that captures and presents workforce insights to help providers better understand the current state of their workforce and plan for the future.
With a focus on dementia and the increasing demand for nurses, the online solution co-designed by aged care industry partners is available to providers at no cost.
The ACWIC will be holding a ‘Lunch and Learn’ session online on Friday, 25 November from 12 pm to 1 pm AEDT to introduce the tool to the providers.
“There has been significant interest in ACWIC’s Workforce Planning Tool in the months since it was released, and we are determined to ensure it reaches as many providers as possible,” Interim ACWIC CEO Sarah McLelland said.
“We are inviting aged care providers to join us as they seek to enhance their capability for workforce planning and we’re confident the online Lunch and Learn session is a great platform to do so.
“During the co-design process, we heard that aged care providers are finding it hard to know where to start with workforce planning, so we are offering really practical assistance.”
The session, led by an ACWIC representative, will demonstrate how to enter workforce information into the tool, provide examples of how to analyse skills mix and workforce data, and answer any questions.
“The tool is easy to use and I encourage all Workforce Activity Planners and others who might benefit from using the tool to join us for this practical session,” McLelland said.
