Apollo Care partners with Telstra to implement digital health solutions

Telstra Health has partnered with Apollo Care to implement four aged care digital health solutions across Australian facilities.

Telstra Health assisted with the implementation of Medication Management, Clinical Manager, Resident Manager and CareKeeper solutions across 500 aged care beds, working alongside the residential aged care provider.

The aim of integrating the digital aged care solutions was to enable a transparent view of medications, assessments, care plans, admissions, funding management and business processes.

Caroline Parker, Senior Implementation Consultant at Telstra Health, said, “Apollo Care has completed their first transition to Clinical Manager, Resident Manager, CareKeeper and Medication Management. Apollo Care can now move forward with a high level of confidence in its care delivery, enabling older Australians to thrive.”

The Clinical Manager solution will support resident care, funding management and reports. This is supported by Resident Manager as well as lead and enquiry administration, while CareKeeper aims to provide clarity around care staff’s workloads, which they can do by the resident’s side via a mobile device, enabling them to continue connecting with residents.

Kylie Radburn, Chief Governance Officer at Apollo Care, said, “We had a vision to put a mobile device in the hands of every care worker that gave them access to care information at the point and time of care. Our team are loving using the CareKeeper app.

“With the support of the Telstra Health team, we have been able to implement solutions quickly across six of our facilities in only one month.”

Telstra Health and the Apollo Care executive clinical team designed the digital tools, implementing a care planning framework within one month.
