ARIIA: Facing the Future conference announced
ARIIA’s inaugural conference, Facing the Future: Aged Care 2030 and Beyond, will be held on Monday, 15 and Tuesday, 16 May in the William Magarey Room at Adelaide Oval.
For the first time, ARIIA will bring together some of the best and sharpest minds from several sectors across the aged care ecosystem. There will be two days of inspiring debate, conversation and networking to refocus the discussion about living life well as the global population ages.
ARIIA recognises daily challenges, but realises the need to start the conversation about ageing and care in the 2030s today. International and national leaders in aged care will explore real solutions to address the changing needs of our aging world.
The conference offers keynote talks and think tanks to inspire organisations to consider how ideas might translate into real actions that make a positive impact. Think tank topics include:
- Person-centred Living for Dementia
- Embracing Diversity for Positive Ageing
- Solutions for Mental Health and Wellbeing and Social Isolation
- Dignity of Risk in Community Care
- Innovation for End of Life and Palliative Care
- Workforce+
Alongside senior members of the aged care ecosystem, key representatives from the federal government will be in attendance and available for networking opportunities and discussions:
- Minister Anika Wells — Minister For Aged Care
- Ian Yates — Inspector General of Aged Care
- Professor Michael Kidd — Deputy Chief Medical Officer & Principal Medical Advisor
- Dr Melanie Wroth — Chief Clinical Advisor, ACQSC.
Conference places can be booked online. Early-bird pricing is available.
